Goals:
- Maintain a level of quality to reduce junk variances to less than 1%
- Maintain all required NPCA, ACI, and other customer requirements
- Develop and maintain Quality Control Program & procedures are completed and documented
- Manages QC operations and key performance indicators weekly
Successful Results for the QC Manager:
- Provides oversight and direction to employees in the QC department in accordance with policies and procedures
- Leads employees to meet expectations for productivity, quality, safety and goal accomplishment
- Communicates any issues or concerns with management
- Ensures all QC technicians are meeting requirements in an efficient manner daily
- Utilize positive recognition for workers demonstrating positive quality behavior
- Communicates quality control philosophy to the organization and commitment to building a positive culture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day activities of the Quality Control department
- Prepare, train, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for all Quality Control Activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, problem-solving, creativity, strategic thinking, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
- Participate in all plant inspections inclusive of management, client and statutory compliance agencies
- Conduct regular and frequent inspections to identify behavior that may result in poor product quality or a safety concern and take appropriate action to correct
- Complete any additional projects or directives as determined by manager
- Maintains a safe work environment and promotes safe work practices
- Communicates company policies and procedures to the Quality Control technicians and adheres to them Creates and fosters a culture of Quality at all levels throughout the organization
- Maintains good standing with all external auditing agencies
- Organizes and maintains all office records and forms in good order (both electronic and hard copies)
- Communicates with outside agencies and inspectors for all quality matters.
- Maintains good relationships and timeliness in filing required reports
- Keeps up-to-date with latest developments in concrete technology and R&D
- Conducts research on improving product Quality by using latest technology available in regard to mix designs and additives.

- Ensures labels are place daily by 11am
- Concrete Mix Designs are followed
- Reviews Junk/Repair Reports
- All required materials testing completed by QSM and meets/exceeds expectations/standards.
- Ensures housekeeping as a priority and completes daily.
- Ensures Calibration is per schedule and up to date
Continuous Improvement
- Completes Self Audit for NPCA 2/year
- Devise and review manufacturing parameters and best practices to meet product quality, and production goals
- Actively participates in the development of new products and supports the company R&D efforts.
- Uses Standard Work and Standard Work auditing to ensure Quality Programs are maintained and continuously advanced
- Conducts research on improving product Quality by using latest technology available in regard to mix designs and additives.

Communication with Team and Customers
