We’ve recently rolled out an initiative focused on continuous improvement across Lock’s departments.

At Locke, continuous improvement is part of how we operate every day. As part of this commitment, we’ve introduced a new cross-functional initiative known as the Tiger Team.

As an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)-driven company, Locke is focused on building a culture of accountability and collaboration. EOS helps ensure our teams are working toward a shared vision and focus on what matters most. One way we put these principles into action was through creating the Tiger Team.

During a quarterly leadership meeting, the idea of Tiger Team was introduced and was defined as a highly focused, cross-functional group designed to look into areas of improvement and develop solutions to better support our customers. By working outside traditional departmental structures, the team can move efficiently and disband once its mission is complete.

The inaugural Tiger Team consisted of employees from across the company, bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise. The team included Estimating Manager Ryan Broach, Account Manager Mackenzie Hengst, Project Manager III Jason Aguirre, and others representing a variety of departments.

“The Tiger Team has been an incredible group to work with,” said Jonathan Cruz, Structural Design Manager. “It has been inspiring to see diverse perspectives come together in pursuit of a common goal, making our customers’ lives easier and our employees’ lives better!”

The focus of Tiger Team is simple: improve how we work so we can better support our customers at every stage of their experience with Locke, from early estimating conversations to project delivery.

“I really appreciated hearing points from others, as well as understanding how my own team can ease our processes to help make us successful.  We’ve gotten good feedback on our proposed solutions, and I look forward to hearing about future improvements!” said Pamela Adams, Senior Procurement & Inventory Specialist.

Our team is always looking for ways to improve and grow as a company. The Tiger Team is one of the ways we’re putting that mindset into action, and we’re excited to see the impact this initiative will have in the months ahead.
