Locke is proud to be among the NPCA member producer plants to have earned the SMaRT (Sustainable Materials Rating Technology) certification. This recognition highlights our precast concrete for qualities like durability, recyclability, low toxicity, and long-term sustainability.

SMaRT is a third-party national consensus standard that evaluates the sustainability of building materials across six categories. Precast concrete products earn certification levels based on a point system, with all NPCA producer plants receiving the Sustainable Gold level.

SMaRT certification offers a complete picture of a product’s environmental impact. The certification process looks at several factors, including:

• A product’s full life cycle
• Material ingredients
• Product toxicity
• Environmentally responsible disposal options
